Bauer was awarded the tender based on an alternative and innovative groundwater control system: milled deep drainage systems with vacuum priming. All groundwater control measures incl. monitoring the groundwater levels, round the clock monitoring with an automatic alarm system and on-call duty, approx. 1,000 m of milled deep drainage up to 6 m deep, 10 pressure relief wells with a bore diameter of 880 mm with DN 300 filter removal to a depth of 15 m, 3 return seepage wells, approx. 100 wellpoint vacuum wells, supplementary open groundwater control with pump sumps and drains and sedimentation basins and a neutralization system.
